1, Drill stem test(DST)- Evaluates formation pressure, flow rate, and reservoir properties during drilling. DST is still the one that tells u the truth fastest, before you’ve spent real money finishing the well.

2, Pressure build-up test(PBU)- The well is shut in after production to analyze pressure recovery.

3, Pressure drawdown test(PDD)- The well is opened for production and pressure decline is monitored.

4, Production test- Determines the well’s production rate and performance.

5, Deliverability test- Determines the production capability of a gas well at different flow rates.

6, Multi-rate test- Tests the well at different flow rates to evaluate reservoir and well performance.

7, Interference test- Determines communication and connectivity between wells.

8, Injection/Fall-off test- Evaluates reservoir response to fluid injection and pressure decline after injection stops.
